I'm a bit late to talk about this last publication in the last Vélo Vert Magazine March issue, but I worked a lot these last weeks with the Paris Fashion Week and the Tignes Winter X-Games (portfolio to come)...
So here it is! I don't know if I have to be stoked about this or not, but this is for sure the result of long days and weeks of work and a premiere for me. I couldn't imagine before that it could be so hard and long to organize, prepare, imagine and make a photo shooting by myself with a very limited budget. I mean I did not only the photographer job (which was finally the easiest part), but all which has come before and also after : to find the models, the make-up artist, the stylist, the places where to shoot, to contact the brands to get the products and clothes you need, to imagine a story, to organize the photo shoot, to shoot, and finally to choose the good images and to caption them... Yes, a photo shoot is all about this, and sometimes more!
These images are a step between two worlds I like and I work in : sport industry and fashion. But we had to take care about the Velo Vert readers to not be too much into the fashion way. We think this kind of "shopping" is really new in France for a MTB magazine, and this is what makes me happy. To show the products in a different way than only a photo of the product with a white background. To tell a story where a MTB rider can recognize himself. A everyday rider story...
Because without all the people who worked on this project and helped me, this had never be possible, I would like to thank : all the Vélo Vert Magazine staff and in particular Sébastien Corradini (editor in chief), Yannick Oven, Nicolas Baisin and Tom Zaniroli. Thanks also to my two models Hugo Le Nechet and Julia Swell, my make-up artist Charlène Coquard, my stylist Morgane "Momo" Benaiche, people who let me shoot in their home Rodrigue Fernandez and Parina (kitchen and bathroom), Laurent Foldes (bedroom), S. Corradini (garage), Loïc Berthe (the great Mini), Velo Vert (bike workshop), and all the buddies who came for the action shoot. Thanks also to all the brands and distributors.
Il est encore temps d'acheter le dernier Vélo Vert et son supplément shopping en kiosque ou ici http://shop.velovert.com/fr/magazines/831-velo-vert-mars-2012.html
Welcome to my blog. As I'm a French guy, it was'nt easy to choose that I will share my notes in my bad English especially that I like my French language! So everybody can follow me through my job, my trips and other boring adventures... Enjoy and keep in touch, it could be very crazy... or not!

Those "little" moments make you love life. Definitely.
After a cool beer/pizza/MTB movies party with a good team of friends/riders on friday night, it was time to ride during the week-end. Well, to say the truth, I didn't ride on saturday as one of my buddies wanted some cool pics to send to his shop partner AllTricks. We did it under the rain and it was cold, so we had to do fast but Arnaud and me were happy of these 3 action pics we did.
Hopefully, we all went to Fontainebleau (which is, to me, one of the best Parisian spot at only one hour by car from Paris) to ride our bikes on Sunday. A very nice 3h30 ride on a cold but sunny day with such funny guys and good riders. God, Mountain Bike is so good!

We definitely need these kind of week-end to start another good week.
Next week-end, I will be in Malbuisson to shoot the "58th Rallye Neige et Glace".
Cheers!

Do what you want...
It's funny because last year, I believe I made almost the same pictures than now. Paris Fashion Week, Mountain Bike photo shoot, concerts... I don't know why, but I feel that 2012 is a bit different. Maybe because I know that I do what I want to do, and I know where I want to go. And this is a great feeling. Here are a bunch of pics that I shot these last days (and tonight during the John Lawrence Sullivan's fashion show).
You have mountain bike, music and fashion. Completely different. But this is why I like it so much. I love sport, I love music, I love fashion. So what? I shoot what I love, and that's all! Oh, in 15 days, I'll cover a Classic Cars Rally on the snow in the East of France. Another thing I love : classic cars.
Thanks to Vélo Vert magazine, Getty Images and the great guys of Mars Avenue to trust in me.

MTB World Champs 2011 recap... better later than never!
For some reasons, you didn't see any images from the MTB WC of Champery here... But as it's my last post of the year, I absolutely wanted to show you some pics of one of the most epic event I had to cover for Vélo Vert magazine. So here it is! It's like a random selection of the moments I prefer because of the action, the emotion, or simply because I like it (yes, it's subjective!).
Wish you had a good 2011 year. See you in 2012 with some new projects, new images and probably a new website/blog... Cheers!
