MTB World Champs 2011 recap... better later than never!

For some reasons, you didn't see any images from the MTB WC of Champery here... But as it's my last post of the year, I absolutely wanted to show you some pics of one of the most epic event I had to cover for Vélo Vert magazine. So here it is! It's like a random selection of the moments I prefer because of the action, the emotion, or simply because I like it (yes, it's subjective!).

Wish you had a good 2011 year. See you in 2012 with some new projects, new images and probably a new website/blog... Cheers!

A sunny Champery... before the usual rain
Andrew Neethling is always stylished
The forecast was really close of this... and Champery was still Champery!
Start of the XC Relay
Evan McNeely, from Canada, was not good enough to be in the top 5...
French XC Junior Perrine Clauzel took the 6th place.

No rain during the DH trainings, but the mud protections was already there, just in case...
Sam Hill did his come back in Champe
The 4X race was really good with a nice "natural" track and a lot of people around even during the night.
Maja Wloszczowska (Poland) and Catharine Pendrel (Canada) did a crazy race ahead. Pendrel finally took the win.
Canada was in the place!
A french Junior DH rider jumps in the last part of the track.
Junior Faustin Figaret was really closed to the win, before this...

The mud is here. Welcome to Champery!
Victor Koretzki, french XC Junior rider, was really alone ahead. Nobody could beat him this day.
Koretzki, remember this name...
Andrey Fonseca offered a 3rd place to his country, the Costa Rica.
Pauline Ferrand-Prevost is in a perfect light moment.
Julie Bresset = LEADER. No more, no less.

Incredible Jaroslav Kulhavy, World Chmpion
The nets are really not an option along the DH Champery track
The young Danny Hart is flying over an epic victory. This guy is not human!
Last race for Fabien Barel, and kind of a win for him to see his team mate Damien Spagnolo take the 2nd place. Emotions
