Photo of the Day on Pinkbike

Yesterday, the 25th of June, one of my photographs I shot during the last Montmartre Downtown in Paris (a Mountain Bike downhill competition) was selected as the "Photo of the Day" on Pinkbike! I'm really happy of that as Pinkbike is one of the most serious and big Mountain Bike web magazine in the World.

G&B are just married!

It's been a long time I didn't write something here. Sorry for those who follow me through my blog, I was on the road to catch some nice events about Mountain Bike, Classic Cars, Concerts and even to shoot some videos with my Canon 7D. A lot of things to do, and not enough time... as always.

So, here are some pics from the G&B's wedding I shot this last week-end (nop, it's not the name of what you think, just the first name initials!). This day was all about coolness and happyness with a nice weather, a castle and a great jazz band playing outside. Another good wedding in my collection!

Elinchrom Quadra RX very quick test

Today, I went to the Elinchrom French importer located in Paris : Db Photo. I'll probably buy a Ranger RX soon like a lot of sport photographers who love to work outside with a sunny blue sky or in the deep snow.

Graffiti masters

I didn't shoot any graffiti art for a long time. So I decided to go at 5 minutes by bike from home to check the "new spot" where a group of friends use their color paint cans... Here are some examples of their art.

91 years old

On sunday the 10th of April, my Grand-Father celebrated his 91 year anniversary. We were in a water mill for the lunch as mills are a real passion for him (he made several miniatures of mills by himself with real wood gears inside!). He always have a funny story to tell even hard his life was.

I'm sorry for this really personal post. But I just wanted to share the love I have for this "young boy" who is my Grand-Father!

 

Aquarium

I was editing some funny pics I took during a video clip shooting, and I just wanna share some of them... Gaïden & Yoshi are 2 talented french rappers, and the video clip (filmed with a Canon 5D and a 60D) will illustrate the song "Aquarium".

Just married!

One word : incredible. Yassine & Nour are just married and their wedding was really incredible. A typical arabic wedding with a lot of people, friends and family members, smiles, musicians, beautiful dresses, very good food and a lot of love. Each wedding I cover is different and more beautiful than the one before! Congratulations guys!

Back on the X...

Two weeks later, I still think it was great, but really hard. Yes, the second European Winter X-Games were really exhausting, especially when you cover a such event alone, or almost alone (thanks to Kristy who did some good shots for her first time in the French Alps!).

Hard as every day you had to shoot all day long, including the trainings if you want some different pictures. Hard as every day you had to walk in the snow with all you camera stuff, speak to the security guys that you want to be here and not there (was the accreditation really useful?!). Hard as every night you had to upload your photos of the day (with the hasardous internet connection of the press center...). Hard as every night you could go to a party and get some drinks with friends (but, honestly, I did it only 2 times!). This was hard, yes, but fucking good! Good to be in Tignes, good to meet some really good ski photographers I appreciate, good to shoot the best riders in the world, good to work hard to get the best images you can...

9 days later...

Once again, it was the Fashion Week in Paris. And once again, it was long and hard. But I think these 9 days were the hardest and the most exhausted of all the Fashion Weeks I did (well, I didn't do a lot, maybe 4 or 5).

Okay, let's go for the statistics : 9 days of non stop work (ok, 8 for me because I had a day off), 24 shows + 6 backstage coverages, 11 different places (Hotel Westin, Hotel Meurice, Le Grand Palais, Palais de Tokyo, etc.), 12680 photos taken, 1845 photos uploaded, 1 night without to sleep, a 16Go CF card (with 2 shows inside) cancelled by error (thanks to SanDisk Rescue Pro for the recovery!), a LOT of work, not a lot of sleeping hours, some really beautiful girls, and... When is the next Fashion Week?!
